Bio

Mary Grace had to leave for Thailand for a teaching job at Hatyai University in 2005. It was the only way that she could earn a living. Unwed mothers were not allowed to teach at any schools in the Philippines during those years.
Early on her adult life, she disobeyed the Lord and as a consequence she got pregnant. After her repentance before God, her family and the church, the Lord started to restore her spiritual life. She gave birth to a beautiful girl. For her to be able to support her baby’s needs she needed to work.

Little did she know that her decision to live in Thailand was already planned by the Lord. She found herself in a mission field. She looked at her job as an God-ordained opportunity to share the Gospel with the Thai people. While employed as a lecturer at the university, she was also helping an indigenous church in the city of Hatyai. She was leading the dance and arts ministry of the said church. She was also involved in Bible study/Cell-group leading.

In July 2008, her friend and mentor introduced her to Clif. They fell in love with each other and after much prayer, they got married in August.

Clif, a young Indonesian pastor, went to Thailand as a missionary in March 2008. Back in Indonesia, when he got born-again, he became one of the persecuted Christians in the country. He attended a Bible school in Surabya. After finishing school, he served as a youth pastor at a church in the same city. A few years later, he felt God’s call in his life to go to Thailand to plant a church. His church didn’t send him because it didn’t have the resources to support a missionary overseas. However, his family believed in his calling, so they sent him.

When he arrived in Thailand, he felt the need for a wife who could also help him in ministry. He then started to pray for a wife with specific personality and gifting. One of the missionary ladies he was working with in the organization that received him into the country happened to be Grace’s very good friend. This lady told him about Grace a few months before they met in person. He prayed for her and felt that God wanted him to marry her. When they finally met in person, it didn’t take a long time for them to decide to get married. They both saw how God answered their specific prayers for a spouse.

Recently, they moved to a bigger house where they also started a church. Clif and Grace are thankful that after two months, their church has a congregation of three members- the two of them and one new member. They both now engaged themselves in evangelism and prayer and fasting for the new church.
